Are Your Negative Habits Holding You Back?

 

We all are guilty of having some bad habits and how many times have you promised yourself that you were going to do something about them. I have personally come to realize that bad habits can hinder someone from making the progress they desire in life.

Bad habits are like the handbrake of a car, you are ready to go, but you can’t drive off because you have not released the handbrake (habit) that can provide an invisible block to receiving the best in life.

Pause for a moment and think of someone whose bad habits irritate you…….. Have you thought of someone? 🙂 Well think about it, you can see someone else’s pattern and how it affects them now think about how your harmful habits are affecting you and the perception other people may have of you. Please take time to think about this and how you intend to move forward and change or replace them.

Consider these 3 tips:-

1. Join forces with someone so they can support you in your journey. See them as an accountability partner.
2. Consider surrounding yourself with people who live the way you desire to live.
3. Cut out as many triggers as possible.

Changing habits does not occur over night it starts one step and one day at a time. Take action and start adjusting from today.

Taking Back Who You Are!

During periods of life you can give ourself away in the belief that the person you give yourself to will not take you for granted. When you give the best of yourself to someone and you have not taken the time to qualify the relationship, hurt and pain is inevitable.

I want to share with you three things that you may need to consider so you can take back who you are and start living the life that you were born to live. These three things are just to give you the push you may need to start this important process.

1. Learn to say no without feeling guilty.

2. Start investing in YOU ( take a course, start reading books that will empower you to make a change).

3. Use your failures and past mistakes to propel you forward.

Each of these points can take a life time to work out but the most important thing is for you to start working on yourself and for you to become the best person that you can be.

Why I Became a Life Coach!

Life coaching is something I have been doing for many years with out realizing that I was actually doing it. I love the challenge of motivating and coaching someone to see that best in themselves and for them to run with the vision and dream in their heart!

3 Reasons To Keep Dreaming Big

 

Our imagination is something that we tend to neglect or take for granted because we have not be taught that it is a gate way to accomplishing our goals.

Your imagination is a great creative tool that can take you from seeing something in your mind’s eye to actually seeing it as a physical reality. That creative ability is God given and the bible shows us what God did with His ability in Genesis 1.

There  are so many people who dreamed big and it became their reality. Here are some examples:

  • Oprah Winfrey ~ The OWN Network
  • Tyler Perry ~ The Tyler Perry Studios
  • Walt Disney ~ Disney Land Amusement Park
  • Sylvester Stallone ~ The Rocky Film Series

Let me share with you 3 reasons why you should keep dreaming:

  1. Your imagination has absolutely no limits. If there are limits in place then you put them there.
  2. Dreaming big costs you nothing! Now….. isn’t that a bargin its FREE.
  3. Don’t allow anyone to stop you from dreaming big because of their own negativity or lack of confidence.

 

You are what you think and You are what you dream! However it is important to remember that behind every dream there is also physical work you have to do to prepare, this must never be over looked so make sure you have plans in place.

Why I Love to Inspire People

Inspiring a person is one of my favourite things to do. There is no other feeling than paying someone a sincere, heartfelt compliment and see the change it brings to their body posture and the frown lines on their face change into a smile.

For a many years I had been on the receiving end of other people’s disapproval and knew first hand the hurt and pain it caused. After receiving healing in those areas, I decided to consciously become someone who would inspire and encourage people to become the best that they could be.  This is one of the reasons  I decided to start blogging.

When you encourage or inspire someone they feel bold enough to take a step toward fulfilling their dreams and they begin to change the way they see themselves. You actually create beautiful ripples in this persons world as  a compliment can make a life time impact and alter the course of their life.

This is why I took the decision to become and train as a life coach as my passion is the raise the self-esteem and confidence of people.

Restoring Hope

I remember a time in my life when I lost all hope. It felt like the night would never leave and the morning would never come. Where was my hope when I needed it.

I had to pick myself up, look  in the mirror and speak hope to my self. There are times in life that we have to restore hope to our heart by speaking over it. The bible shares a story of how David had to encourage himself in the Lord because the people around him had lost faith in who he was.

Restoring your hope after a personal failure is a lonely path to walk because it also affects your self-esteem and confidence. One of the painful experiences I walked through was went I failed my nursing exams in my early twenties. It was  an awful time and affected me for many years after the event. I could not share how I felt with anyone because I felt so ashamed and that shame became the blanket that I hid  under.

After some years I took the step of removing the blanket called shame and started walking the long path called hope. I took that step and kept walking and it led me to where I am today, passionate about the gifts God blessed me with.

Don’t let the shame and the failings of your past keep you bound in the present and cloud the future that awaits you. Take a step and get the help you need to restore your hope and passion to live your life to the full.

There is only ONE you & that makes you unique

 

You are not one in a million, you are the only one on the planet. Comparing yourself to other people is such a waste of time because you have a unique vision and calling with a unique set of gifts and that makes you a rare gem.

Let me share with you as to why you are so unique and some important things that you need to remember:

1. No one else on the planet has your figures.

2. You have a unique set of tastes, experiences and life.

3. Appreciate your own uniqueness and the uniqueness in others and this will help to eliminate comparisons.

4. Do not get caught up in what people say about you as they only know a portion of your life and not everything.

5. You are an original so don’t be a poor photocopy of someone else.

Always remember you were born to shine in life and not to work in the shadow of someone else’s light.

Learning to love you = Managing your time

We all live very busy lives that makes time management a real challenge. However time management is needed so we can keep our life in some sort of order.

Our time is precious and we often give it away too freely to others who do not appreciate it. Those moments are valuable as we can never get them back. When you value your time you value who you are and it is important that we keep an eye on who we give it to.

Let me share some tips with you on managing your time and loving you.

  1. Don’t over extend your self ~ this is so important to remember as it  can lead to burn out. If something does not fit into your schedule then learn how to refuse it graciously and move on it. An over extended calendar does not do you any favours.
  2. Schedule sessions where you can have some down time and relax. you could take a walk, work out, go see movie etc. Down time is important as it gives your mind and body a chance to rejuvenate itself and rest.
  3. Learn how to say no without feeling guilty.

If you have not started then start today by loving you and mange your time.

Living a Vibrant Life in 2017~Identify Blessings Daily

Each day that we wake up in the morning is a blessing. It is an opportunity to express gratitude to the one who created us and it also gives you a chance to commit your day to God in prayer. Before you go to bed identify another blessing that you can be grateful for from your busy day.

I have come to realize that it is important to identify at least one blessing in everyday, even if I have had a bad day there is always at least one thing good I can be thankful for.

Being grateful daily will build a positive stronghold in your life and it will eventually change the way you see your life and the lives of those around you. So start today and begin to identify daily blessings, try it for the next 21 days and see how your life and attitude changes.

There is a lot of negativity in the world so join me in changing our immediate world one daily blessing at a time.

Steps to a New Beginning!

The year 2016 was an eventful year in so many ways. As a global family we experienced many changes. For example, Britain leaving the European market and Donald Trump being elected the new president of The United States. As well as these global changes, each of us have experienced things that we can learn from.

What 3 valuable lessons did you learn in 2016 that can prepare you for a productive 2017 emotionally, physically and spiritually? It maybe helpful for you  to just take some time and reflect on your experiences so you can answer this question for yourself.

Always remember that no matter what you have been through a new beginning is ALWAYS possible but you have to put in the work so that your desire becomes a reality. Yes it may be painful but it will be worth it!!!!

Let me share 3 tips with you that will help you move into a new year.

1. Keep a log of and deal with your positive and negative mental chatter.

  1. How many times do you beat yourself up during the day?
  2.  Are you constantly thinking critical thoughts about yourself and others?
  3. How many positive thoughts do you have during the day?

What have you learnt about your mental processes and how will you move on from it?

2. Feed your mind with the thoughts, words and images that are most consistent with who you want to be, what you want to have and what you want to achieve.

Vision boards and affirmations are a great starting point.

 

3.Be determined to create a new beginning for yourself  .

Creating a new beginning for yourself has nothing to do with your age. You can begin again at any age and at anytime. Cultivate a new beginning by  learning from any mistakes you made in 2016.

My prayer is that these 3 tips will assist you in building in a better 2017.
