Why I Love to Inspire People

Inspiring a person is one of my favourite things to do. There is no other feeling than paying someone a sincere, heartfelt compliment and see the change it brings to their body posture and the frown lines on their face change into a smile.

For a many years I had been on the receiving end of other people’s disapproval and knew first hand the hurt and pain it caused. After receiving healing in those areas, I decided to consciously become someone who would inspire and encourage people to become the best that they could be.  This is one of the reasons  I decided to start blogging.

When you encourage or inspire someone they feel bold enough to take a step toward fulfilling their dreams and they begin to change the way they see themselves. You actually create beautiful ripples in this persons world as  a compliment can make a life time impact and alter the course of their life.

This is why I took the decision to become and train as a life coach as my passion is the raise the self-esteem and confidence of people.

With you in mine I wrote a foundational course about building personal self-esteem and confidence.   It will give you a great start to seeing your self-worth and move you from the cocoon of  your life into an amazing butterfly. What is a Friend? (Story time! )

When I was younger I found it so difficult to make friend as I was painfully shy and I had a stutter. Some of the people I hung around with use to laugh at me and one person in particular use to pick on me during my first year in secondary school. It was so awful. My self esteem could not sink any lower than it already was.

I had a friend called Jasmine as primary school, she was my bestie and she would always hang out with me during play times and she alway stuck by me. I can never forget her!

I think friendships change as we get older because our needs change and things happen to us in life. Thinking about Jasmine made me think about the importance of great friendships. Below are some tips I tend to use when I am considering a friendship and I would like to share them with you.

A friend is….

  1. someone you can trust, who will not judge you
  2. someone who respects you and your time
  3. someone who respects your boundries
  4. someone who listens
  5. someone who gives you space when you need it and they are not overbearing
  6. someone who respects your right to change and grow.

In the comments below share with me your important aspects of friendship.

The Gift

When are you going to start believing, acknowledging, using and releasing the gifts that God placed inside of you? To continue to bury or deny these gifts is to deny and bury  the uniqueness God placed inside of you.

Psalms 34:4-6 shares how David sought the Lord and the Lord heard him and delivered him from all his fears. If your fears, lack of confidence and low self-esteem is keeping you from cultivating your gifts then you need to cry out in prayer as David did and ask God to deliver you from your fears. God can and will deliver you from your insecurities and fears if you ask him.

Your gifts are necessary, the people you need to touch are waiting, the holy spirit of God is waiting. When are you going to release the gift?

You are a Trophy!

From Freeimages.com

From Freeimages.com

Take a moment to read 2 Corinthians 2:14-15 in the amplified bible.

What is a trophy? It is an object that is given as a prize for winning a competition. Something gained or given in victory or conquest.

You are  a trophy of Christ’s victory & a sweet fragrance of Christ unto God.  Jesus’ death on the cross signalled a winners trophy in the spirit and you dear reader are the prize.

Is that a beautiful thought to consider? Think about it for a moment……..

So from today I encourage you to see yourself as God sees you, HIS trophy and a winner!

Drinking from a Deeper Well

I was in the library doing some studying and to take a break I was glacing through an old Ebony magazine and came across the story of a successful pastor whose older sister committed suicide, she had mental health issues. He said it shook his faith to the core but he realised he had to drink from a “deeper well” to recover. This pastor had to dig deeper in his faith in God to continue to drink living water to cope with this tragedy.

I have had to dig deeper in the wells of my bible, pray and worship to cope with many painful situations. The wells of God’s word never run dry. The things of God never run dry, the river is always running but we have to position ourselves to drink.

When I suffered personal pain and loss, I shut myself away and dug deeper. As I poured out to Father God in prayer, tears and worship I experienced the river of his love wash over me and through me.

Is there anything that you are experiencing that is forcing you to drink from a deeper well. Dear Heart do not run from the well but run to it because there you will find the water of life that will quench your thirst.

Jesus told the woman at the well that the water I will give will cause you not to thirst again, it was a living water that ministered to the soul. When we are thirsty and need a drink, identify good quality water because there are many polluted sources. When you are well identify your good sources so that when you hurt you know where to go.

Dear heart, keep drinking that living water and when life throws things at you and that well dries up, don’t stop but dig another well.

What are you hearing?

Hearing-Speech

” And he said to them, be careful what you are hearing. The measure (of thought and study) you give (to the truth you hear) will be measured (of virtue and knowledge) that comes back to you and more (besides) will be given to you who hear.”    ~  Mark 4:24 (The Amplified Bible)

What have you been listening to that has so consumed your thoughts and what have you been meditating on? The seeds of those meditated thoughts will come back with a harvest in your life.

We can meditate on something negative someone has said to us and the harvest of that can come back as self doubt, low self esteem, worry and fear. We can also meditate on the good someone has said to us and the harvest of that can come back as courage, boldness, increased self esteem, confidence and fearlessness.

What words or statements have shaped who you are today? Make a decision today to chose what you hear and mediate on it. Philippians 4:7 says,

” ….. whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

I had to choose to hear what people said about me and what I said to myself as I have had many negative words said to me. But I took those same words refashioned them and used them as stepping stones to climb higher to be the best that I can be. I continue to focus and meditate on what Father God says about me because His thoughts towards me will always be for good and not evil. ” For I know the thoughts I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not evil,to give you an expected end.”  ~ Jeremiah 29:11

Dear Heart, take every negative thought or word, refashion it and use it for your good. Meditate on what God thinks and says about you. Find scriptures and use the Word of God to erase the negative and superimpose the positive and beauty of God’s word on your heart.

You are the Lord’s Candle ~ Someone Special.

Proverbs 20:27 ~ “The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord……..” KJV

Psalms 139:13 ~ 14  “For you formed my inward parts; you covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, marvellous are your works” NKJ

Our spirit is God’s candle.  He uses us to shine so when others see us they see Him. We are a reflection of His light on the earth. In fact He uses us to burn brightly.

Don’t ever believe that there is nothing good about you, you were created for a divine purpose. There is some thing unique about you that no one else has on the earth. It’s your uniqueness that God uses to burn brightly. Do not compare yourself to anyone because to do this would be to devalue whom you were uniquely created to be. The bible declares that God’s works are marvelous and that my beloved means you are marvellous. Please do not let anyone tell you any differently.

Years ago I never saw any value in who I was, I thought no one would want to hear what I had to say. But I was taken on a special journey by God and he showed me what he thought of me and how beautiful I am. It’s just that my circumstances had masked who I was so I could not see my own uniqueness.

Dear one, I just want to encourage you  not to define yourself by what you have gone through in life but define yourself by God’s originally intention for you. You are a wonderful creation of The Most High God carefully formed and crafted in your mother’s womb. The mere fact that you are alive to read what I am writing is a testimony in itself.

Dear one, May the Lord bless you and keep you and continue to grant you the peace that passes all understanding. I pray that you will come to know how marvelous you truly are.

Pursued by HIS Love

i_love_you_37

” For God is my witness how I Long for and pursue you all with love, in the tender mercy of Christ Jesus (Himself) ~ Philippians 1:8 (amplified bible)

I came across this verse a few months ago whilst I was reading a book about the Apostle Paul. Paul had a love and strong affection for the people of Philippi. He longed for them, he longed to see them and he long to hear from them.

The Philippian church had a love toward God that extended to each other, other Christians and ministers of the gospel. They expressed it in their actions and with their heart.

Women love to be pursued by someone they love, it makes them feel wanted, appreciated, desired. But wait a minute…… let’s think for a moment,  God himself is pursuing us. At times in life we look for and pursue love and acceptance in the wrong places and while we are doing this He is pursuing us to show us His love.

Father God loves you with an everlasting love, let me write that again, Father God Loves you with an everlasting love. His love is pursuing you. Stop for a moment and tell him ” Father I receive your love, Father I accept your love”. Just think the one who created the trees, the sun, the moon and stars loves you.

1 Peter 5:7 ( amplified bible) says ” Casting the whole of your care (all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all) on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares for you watchfully”. Read that verse again …….slowly. Isn’t it beautiful.

Dear Heart, the love of Father God is concerned about everything about you and his love is pursuing you. Stand still long enough to receive it.
