This is why my passion is to break down the barriers in the church so that people are aware. Domestic violence is not ok. It destroys families. The Body of Christ needs to open their eyes to this so people know they can go for help from the professionals and receive spiritual counsel as well. When I was going through it the church I attended at the time (20 years ago) was not very helpful in my healing process because they just didn’t know how to address it. The church I belong to now is encouraging me to take the lead to bring the awareness. It’s good to see that others are doing the same thing.
