I came across this verse a few months ago whilst I was reading a book about the Apostle Paul. Paul had a love and strong affection for the people of Philippi. He longed for them, he longed to see them and he long to hear from them.
The Philippian church had a love toward God that extended to each other, other Christians and ministers of the gospel. They expressed it in their actions and with their heart.
Women love to be pursued by someone they love, it makes them feel wanted, appreciated, desired. But wait a minute…… let’s think for a moment, God himself is pursuing us. At times in life we look for and pursue love and acceptance in the wrong places and while we are doing this He is pursuing us to show us His love.
Father God loves you with an everlasting love, let me write that again, Father God Loves you with an everlasting love. His love is pursuing you. Stop for a moment and tell him ” Father I receive your love, Father I accept your love”. Just think the one who created the trees, the sun, the moon and stars loves you.
1 Peter 5:7 ( amplified bible) says ” Casting the whole of your care (all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all) on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares for you watchfully”. Read that verse again …….slowly. Isn’t it beautiful.
Dear Heart, the love of Father God is concerned about everything about you and his love is pursuing you. Stand still long enough to receive it.
