You are not Alone.

I remember during a very difficult period many years ago I felt so alone and isolated. My main comfort and still is, my bible. Oh my goodness, what would my life be like without this precious book. I have read it, listen to it on tape, CD, MP3 and YouTube. My bible has been my lifeline.

I have highlighted, written all over it, drawn in it and some of the pages have dried tears stains on it. I love my bible. It has become a precious friend. If I need to find out about something I go straight to it and study it to find an answer. When I needed comfort I read the Psalms. If I  needed reassurance of who I was and am I read Ephesians. If I needed wisdom I read proverbs etc etc.

Sorry I got carried away there, back to my main point. During that difficult period I was reading Hebrews and I came across the latter part of Hebrews 13:5 and verse 6. I read it in the amplified bible and it blew me away. It says

……. For he (God) Himself has said, I will not in anyway fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. (I will) not, (I will) not, (I will) not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake you nor let (you) down ( relax my hold on you)! (Assuredly not).

” So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm ( I will not fear or dread or be terrified). What can man do to me?”

This brought such a comfort to me and is one of my favourite bible verses. The creator of the heavens and the earth encouraged me by saying he will not leave me helpless or forsake me. The deflated ballon of my heart began to inflate with boldness and renewed strength.

Dear Heart allow these precious verses to put courage back into your heart and remind you that you are not alone. You have not been forsaken and you have not been overlooked because He who created the universe is watching over you carefully and cares for you lovingly.

Love, love, love that passage, especially in the amplified! I think the fact that it’s repeated 3 times ( I will not) indicates an imperative. How cool is that! New follow here.
