Matthew 25: 35 ~ 40

Don’t forget those amongst us who face life alone,

Don’t forget those amongst us who sit or beg on the street “Can you spare some change please”

Don’t forget those amongst us when they beg and fear, tears, uncertainty and pain is reflected in their eyes,

Don’t forget those amongst us who are tormented through lack of sleep,

Don’t forget those amongst us, who have not eaten today,

Don’t forget those amongst us who have not heard the words “I love you”

Don’t forget those amongst us who have not felt a human touch for a while,

But……….

There are those amongst us who can bless a stranger today,

There are those amongst us, who can give a smile, a touch, a hug,

There are those amongst us who can give someone a drink or something to eat,

There are those amongst us who can ease the flow of tears of those who cry,

There are those amongst who can love and ease someone’s pain,

Be kind to those amongst us and be a blessing each and everyday.

This Poem was inspired by Neil, a man I saw begging in Oxford Street on Saturday 6th December 2914. My daughter and I gave him something to eat, a hot drink and a hug. He was so overcome that he cried and I cried with him.
