Are Your Negative Habits Holding You Back?

We all are guilty of having some bad habits and how many times have you promised yourself that you were going to do something about them. I have personally come to realize that bad habits can hinder someone from making the progress they desire in life.

Bad habits are like the handbrake of a car, you are ready to go, but you can’t drive off because you have not released the handbrake (habit) that can provide an invisible block to receiving the best in life.

Pause for a moment and think of someone whose bad habits irritate you…….. Have you thought of someone? 🙂 Well think about it, you can see someone else’s pattern and how it affects them now think about how your harmful habits are affecting you and the perception other people may have of you. Please take time to think about this and how you intend to move forward and change or replace them.

Consider these 3 tips:-

1. Join forces with someone so they can support you in your journey. See them as an accountability partner.
2. Consider surrounding yourself with people who live the way you desire to live.
3. Cut out as many triggers as possible.

Changing habits does not occur over night it starts one step and one day at a time. Take action and start adjusting from today.

Taking Back Who You Are!

During periods of life you can give ourself away in the belief that the person you give yourself to will not take you for granted. When you give the best of yourself to someone and you have not taken the time to qualify the relationship, hurt and pain is inevitable.

I want to share with you three things that you may need to consider so you can take back who you are and start living the life that you were born to live. These three things are just to give you the push you may need to start this important process.

1. Learn to say no without feeling guilty.

2. Start investing in YOU ( take a course, start reading books that will empower you to make a change).

3. Use your failures and past mistakes to propel you forward.

Each of these points can take a life time to work out but the most important thing is for you to start working on yourself and for you to become the best person that you can be.

Living A Vibrant Life in 2017 – Serving Others

Taking time to serve others is so important as it moves us from being self centered to focusing on others . Please remember it is important to take time to look after yourself, but it is also important to give some of your God given gift to uplifting others.

Serving others can take the form of voluntary work, stopping to help someone with directions or doing some work at your church. there are a host of this you can do.

Here are 3 others we should consider serving others:

  1. Serving others transforms who you are for the better from the inside out.
  2. It’s an opportunity to do small things with great love.
  3. When you give of yourself you begin to feel grateful for what you have and the opportunity to share it.

Take a moment and think of the last time you extended yourself to serve someone else without looking for something in return. If you can’t think of a time then I encourage you to start today.

Dreams Do Become A Reality ~ My First E-book

I started 2016 with a list of goals that I just prayed over and said “God over to you”. I did not know how some of them would be accomplished but I wrote the vision and made it plain.

Well one of my goals was to publish my first eBook. At the time it looked like a huge mountain but God connected me with a class Dawniel Winningham was teaching about ebooks. So I paid for the class and listen and took notes. Then I made contact with Julia Royston, a publisher and she helped me to publish my first book on 19th September. I am in the process of writing other books and can’t wait to launch them in 2017

When  you have a vision, God will connect the dots and cross the T’s. It was a goal that appeared to be so far fetched for me but I wrote it down anyway.

If you had a goal in 2016 that  has not happened then make sure you write it down as your first goal for 2017. Don’t discard or give up on it. Keep praying over it and keep going!

Here is the link to download my eBook on amazon  Click here .It deals with issues that we may have had we our parents and the dangers of passing on those issues to our own children, if we do not deal with them. at the end of each chapter are exercises that you can do.

Steps to a New Beginning!

Image from Pixabay.com

The year 2016 was an eventful year in so many ways. As a global family we experienced many changes. For example, Britain leaving the European market and Donald Trump being elected the new president of The United States. As well as these global changes, each of us have experienced things that we can learn from.

What 3 valuable lessons did you learn in 2016 that can prepare you for a productive 2017 emotionally, physically and spiritually? It maybe helpful for you  to just take some time and reflect on your experiences so you can answer this question for yourself.

Always remember that no matter what you have been through a new beginning is ALWAYS possible but you have to put in the work so that your desire becomes a reality. Yes it may be painful but it will be worth it!!!!

Let me share 3 tips with you that will help you move into a new year.

1. Keep a log of and deal with your positive and negative mental chatter.

  1. How many times do you beat yourself up during the day?
  2.  Are you constantly thinking critical thoughts about yourself and others?
  3. How many positive thoughts do you have during the day?

What have you learnt about your mental processes and how will you move on from it?

2. Feed your mind with the thoughts, words and images that are most consistent with who you want to be, what you want to have and what you want to achieve.

Vision boards and affirmations are a great starting point.

3.Be determined to create a new beginning for yourself  .

Creating a new beginning for yourself has nothing to do with your age. You can begin again at any age and at anytime. Cultivate a new beginning by  learning from any mistakes you made in 2016.

My prayer is that these 3 tips will assist you in building in a better 2017.

Below is a blog post I wrote which will encourage you to over come any fears you may have about 2017. Please also comment, like and subscribe to my blogs!

Conquer Your Fears ~ Enter Your Destiny! Overcoming Your Fears

The Gift

When are you going to start believing, acknowledging, using and releasing the gifts that God placed inside of you? To continue to bury or deny these gifts is to deny and bury  the uniqueness God placed inside of you.

Psalms 34:4-6 shares how David sought the Lord and the Lord heard him and delivered him from all his fears. If your fears, lack of confidence and low self-esteem is keeping you from cultivating your gifts then you need to cry out in prayer as David did and ask God to deliver you from your fears. God can and will deliver you from your insecurities and fears if you ask him.

Your gifts are necessary, the people you need to touch are waiting, the holy spirit of God is waiting. When are you going to release the gift?

A Letter to My Younger Self – Dear Me

Dear Me,

You are 18 years old and you have the world ahead of you. You are a bright young woman who is searching and wondering what life will be like in  your20’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. well I am 51 next month and I want to tell you that you are going to make. It is going to be rocky and painful but you are going to make.

God loves you with an everlasting love. The enemy is going to try and take you out but it will not work, because God has your name written on the palm of his hand.

Continue with your passion for books and reading because it is going to serve you well. One important thing my dear, develop a relationship with The Holy Spirit, love your bible because that book will literally save your life. Read it, digest it, memorise it. Do not listen to anyone who says God is not real, trust me he is very very real. I have seen and experienced things and if it was not for the very present help of God I would be gone. Trust me younger woman, God is real and he has your back even though it may not feel like it but he does.

Oh my goodness if you only knew how much he loves you, oh my! He is going to lead you and guide you through every fiery trial, but you know what you are going to come as pure gold.

Younger me, don’t let your fears, low self esteem or insecurities stop you. I know you don’t have any positive role models at the moment but hang in there because better is coming. You are going to grow into a woman who has a tangible experience with God and when feel like giving up he won’t let you. When you experience shame and embarrassment, stand tall. When you are called evil names remember what God calls you and tells you who you are and what you mean to him. When you cry at 3am in the morning remember those tears are silent prayers to Father God. When you are abandoned remember you are accepted in heavenly places with Christ Jesus. Yes whatever poison is thrown at you Jesus has the antidote.

The Holy Spirit in you is a treasure in an earthen vessel, an earthen vessel of honour and high esteem. You are beautiful no matter what anyone else says. You are a great mother no matter what anyone else says, you are a loyal wife no matters what anyone else says.

Be encouraged sweet one because the world will know of the great gift that the Father himself has placed inside of you. It doesn’t look like must now, just remember mining a diamond is a long process but when the process is done and from what ever angle you see the diamond all you will see is something perfectly cut by the hand of God and as the light reflects on it from different angles all you will see is beauty. You are beautiful, you may not always feel like it, but you are.

Be encouraged because your expected end will be great, so be faithful to what  God will put in your hand. You will be taken advantage off, but remain faithful. Your future is so bright, I am excited for you.

All my love Me at 50 👏🙏😘

Dear Father God Letters ~ A prayer for the person contemplating suicide.

Dear Father God,

I lift up to you the hearts of those contemplating  suicide at this moment. Lord where they have given up on life divinely show them that they have everything to live for. Where they feel rejected, betrayed and hurt show them the power of forgiveness and the awesome love that you have for them.

Father, where they feel that there life is backed up against the wall and there is no way out, divinely show them a way out. I pray father that you would divinely overshadow them with your love as you overshadowed Mary the mother of Jesus. Ignite their broken heart with hope, faith and trust in you.

Where the enemy has lied to them about their situation I pray father that you would superimpose that lie with the truth and beauty of who they are in you and that they have everything to live for.

Make a way for them Father where there appears to be no way, intervene in their situation in a supernatural way and give them a testimony. Ignite their heart with something to live for and show them father that taking their own life is not the answer.

I release ministering angel to them to comfort and strengthen during this time of need.

In Jesus Name. Amen

Quotes by Mother Theresa of Calcutta

Mother Theresa was a woman who dedicated her life to looking after the poor on the streets of Calcutta, India. I wanted to share a few of her quotes that have ministered to me.

mt

” Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.”

” Let us always meet each other with a smile, for the smile is the beginning of love”

“We shall never know the good that a simple smile can do”

” We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence….. we need silence to be able to touch souls.”

“Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do the humble work”
